How to create a "production" environment: Are namespaces analogous to environments?

For months we have been working and developing in the same namespace / environment utilizing AGS, AMS and Extend. We now need to spin up a new environment for a beta test so that we can continue working our development environment without affecting the test. What’s the best way to to go about this? Should we create a new namespace? Is there a way to clone an existing namespace?

Hi @njupshot,

That’s correct! In a Shared Cloud environment, you can utilize namespaces. You can migrate the configuration from one namespace to another by following these steps:

  1. Go to All Namespaces.

  2. Select Migrate - then choose Migrate to a new Namespace (or select Migrate to Namespace if you have already created it).

  3. Follow the remaining steps to complete the migration.

Thank you for the response @Damar. I’m following those steps, but it looks like the migration is stalling as this is what I’m seeing going on about 20 minutes now:
